A general glitch afflicted the Snapchat app, with some users on Thursday feeling technical problems, causing controversy.
The company, “Snapchat” confirmed that they are aware of the problem, explaining that fixing the bug takes time, and promised to fix the bug quickly.
The Verge reported that Snapchat was experiencing a major issue as of Thursday evening, with more than 125,000 users reporting issues.
The site indicated that its employees tried to log into the application, but it crashed every time they tried to open the application.
The company that developed the application acknowledged that there was a problem around 6:51 pm, and said from the “Snapchat support” account: “We are aware of an issue that prevents some Snapchat users from logging in.” “Wait a minute, we’re looking into it and fixing it!”
The outage comes on the heels of a nasty June bug where a version of the iOS Snapchat app crashes at launch, and that bug was eventually fixed in an update released shortly after.
