Famil Sadigov, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, made a forecast regarding gas prices in the coming years. In 2022-2024, its value in the world will stop breaking new records, but, on the contrary, will begin to decline, he said in an interview with the corporate publication of the organization, reports RIA News…
“By now, we have a consensus forecast made by many analysts: in 2022–2024, gas prices on world markets will gradually decrease from the current record levels, but will remain significantly higher in comparison with the dock-like levels,” Sadigov said.
He noted that the financial indicators of the Gazprom group in any case will have to remain at a high level, even with rather moderate export prices for fuel at the moment.
Earlier it became known that the cost of gas in Europe rose to $ 2,150 per thousand cubic meters and broke another record. At the time of publication, the January futures contract for the Dutch TTF hub was worth $ 2,150 per thousand cubic meters. Thus, the price of gas in Europe has grown by more than 27 percent per day.
