The Ultimate Game Boy for just €185.95
Directly from the creator ofOculus Rift (and well-known modder of Nintendo Game Boy) Palmer Luckey here comes a brand new digital device dedicated to players nostalgic for the golden days of gaming. Is called ModRetro Chromatic and it promises exactly everything you could want from such a device.
A sort of modern, 2.0 version of the Game Boy from the Japanese company: magnesium alloy case, sapphire crystal cover glass, stainless steel buttons PBT (a high class material) and that’s just what’s on the outside.
It is the internal specifications that amaze and convince the most. The display is one IPS screen with structure identical to the original model, e brightness beyond i 1000 nits. To be clear, you can also play under direct sunlight.
As for the processor, we are talking about a FGPA capable of playing any original Game Boy product. Other specs include an “ultra-loud” speaker with hips 3.5mm jack inputit’s a USB-C output for the video. Charging works via AA batteries.
Included in the product will be a special version of Tetris (as it was for the original in simple terms). This special release will include a version of the iconic game OST “reinvented” from the team of Luckey compared to the original product.
Original cartridges will also arrive in the future “Chromatic”, with titles new and old but remastered and reinvented. Here you can find more information on the official website.
