Gallina skin: a minute of applause for Kirian in their fight against cancer

It is common for football players, and any sport, to show their support, normally in the form of T -shirt with messagewhen a partner suffers a serious injury or mishap.

What is not common is that in full game the game is stopped and the 22 players and the referees applaud for 60 exciting seconds. It happened this Saturday at the Gran Canaria stadium during the League match played by Las Palmas and Villarreal.

Days ago it was known that Kirian Rodrígez, captain of the Canarian team, has fallen to the cancer with which he had already had to battle, and that relapse forces him to leave sports again during to complete the necessary medical treatment.

That hard news caused an act of support from all the protagonists before the initial beep. And then, in the 20th – Torsal minute that Kirian looks in his shirt -, Soccer and time stopped to give way to a very special applause of all those present in the field.

Kirian, sitting in the stands, lived excitedly with his mother and partner the sensitive show of thrust of colleagues and fans.
