The Interuniversity Commission of Galicia (CiUG) has published on their website the schedules of the new selectivitywhich in 2025 will be called the University Access Test (PAU). The exams will be held between Tuesday, June 3 and Thursday, June 5 in almost all of Spain and, in the community, they will start with the Spanish Language and Literature exam.
Another of the news What the CiUG plan includes is that the Galician Language and Literature test will be on the last day, when this 2024 was the first exam. This will mean that all students will have to attend during the three days, when it was usual for the last day to only hold exams for some elective subjects, so there were students who no longer had to go.
The tests to access university will undergo changes in 2025, following the agreement to homogenize them signed by the communities governed by the PP and the intention of the Ministry of Education to make them more competitive. In this context, the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities They agreed to set the PAU on the same dates throughout Spain, with the exception of Catalonia.
In Galicia it will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 3, with an introduction in which applicants will receive information on how the three days will unfold. After this, the first exam will arrive, that of Spanish Language and Literature, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. It will last two hours, when until now it was an hour and a half.
The tests continue with the exams of the subjects of History of Spain and History of Philosophybetween 12:00 and 1:30 p.m. The first day resumes at 4:00 p.m. with the exams in Biology, Technology and Engineering II, Business and Business Model Design and with the second foreign language: German, French, English, Italian and Portuguese.
After the break from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., it will be the students’ turn to take the exam. Physics, Greek, Artistic Foundations and History of Music and Dance. Tuesday’s session thus concludes at 7:30 p.m.
Exam marathon
The second dayon Wednesday, June 4, will start at 9:30 a.m. with the first foreign language test: English, French, German, Portuguese and Italian. After the break (11:00-11:30 a.m.), the exams resume with Mathematics II, Latin II, Artistic Drawing II, Performing Arts and General Sciences.
The afternoon session begins at 4:00 p.m. with tests in Chemistry, Geography, Design, and Cultural and Artistic Movements. After the break from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the day ends with the tests.e Geology and Environmental Sciences, Art History, Graphic-Plastic Expression Techniques and Dramatic Literature.
The last day exams, on Thursday, June 5, will begin with the Galician test, which after the break from 11:00 to 11:30 hours, will give way to the Technical Drawing II exams, Applied Mathematics to CC. Social II, Technical Drawing Applied to AA.PP. and Design II and Musical Analysis.
