She was the 1990 US Open champion.

The best Argentine tennis player in history, Gabriela Sabatini, champion of the US Open in 1990 and silver medalist at the 1988 Seoul Olympics, announced Tuesday that he will play the Roland Garros Legends tournament from May 31 to June 5.

“I want to thank @rolandgarros for the invitation to participate in the “Trophée des légends” 2022. It will be very special to play again in a place full of such beautiful memories with Gisela, whom I admire, respect and love very much. See you from May 31 to June 5 in Paris”, published Sabatini through social networks.

The 51-year-old tennis player will compete alongside Gisela Dulko, 37, former world number one in doubles
and 2011 Australian Open champion alongside Italy’s Flavia Pennetta.

Sabatini won Wimbledon in doubles in 1988 with the German Steffi Graf, retired in 1996 at just 26 years old and is part of the International Tennis Hall of Fame.

The record of the best Argentine tennis player in history includes 39 titles: 27 singles and 12 doubles.
