Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the G20 summit on Sunday. In his address, PM Modi has said that our focus is equally on protecting the citizens and economy from the epidemic, and also on the fight against climate change. In the G20 program on keeping the planet safe, Prime Minister Modi said that the war should not be isolated from climate change, but should be fought in an integrated and holistic manner.
PM Modi said that India has adopted low carbon and climate friendly development processes. PM Modi said that we popularized LED light, which has reduced carbon dioxide emissions by 38 million tonnes per year. We have provided smoke-free kitchens to more than 8 crore homes through the Ujjwala scheme.
PM Modi said that India is not only fulfilling the goals of Paris Agreement but is moving ahead of them. PM Modi said that our goal is to reuse 26 million hectares of unutilized land by 2030, we are promoting a regenerative economy.
PM Modi said that the whole world can progress at a rapid pace only when large-scale technology and financial support is provided to developing countries. The Prime Minister said, each one has to prosper for the prosperity of humanity. The labor should be focused on the human dignity of every worker rather than just looking at production. He said that the preservation of the earth will be ensured only by such a stand.
Modi also attended the two-day 15th G20 summit organized by Saudi Arabia on the first day. Heads of Government and Heads of State, European Union, other invited countries and international organizations related to 19 member nations participated in this summit. In the wake of the Kovid-19 epidemic, this summit was conducted through digital medium.
