Next week one of the most anticipated movies of the year in terms of the action genre will be released in theaters, Furiosa: A Mad Max Sagaa prequel to what was seen at the time with Mad Max Fury Road, which will now have as its protagonist the heroine who saved maidens from a slaver. But as already mentioned, we will see her origins and her path towards becoming one of the most admired warriors in the world of cinema.
With a few days before the premiere, the press specialized in the seventh art has already been able to preview this product, and from what they have left on the website Rotten Tomatoes a percentage of 87%, which places the film as fresh and that it is a film that can be enjoyed. Among the criticisms, the participation of Anya Taylor Joywho plays the protagonist in her younger days.
Here are the press comments:
Inverse: Furiosa is an amazing achievement. It is a hyperrealistic vision of the apocalypse, a Greek myth turned into a blockbuster show.
Nerd Reactor: Mad Max: Fury Road is still in the top spot for best of the series, but Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is a solid prequel with long, epic action sequences, sweeping landscapes, and a colorful cast of characters.
Daily Telegraph: The film may work differently to its predecessor, but it has clearly been tweaked by the same engineers. After the simple drag racer, here comes the giant.
Polygon: A scorching film that refuses to follow any of the tried and worn rules that franchise films follow.
New York Times: Miller is such a wildly inventive filmmaker that it’s been easy to forget that he’s still making movies about the end of life as we know it… Only with “Furiosa” do I now understand that he’s also a prophet of doom.
Remember that Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga releases next may 23 in theaters.
Via: Furious
Author’s note: It is definitely one of the must-see movies this May. I have to go on opening weekend, complete with caramel popcorn.
