On the occasion of the Fuorisalone 2024, Electrolux Group inaugurates Electrolux EcoLine Hub, a pioneering space created to stimulate environmental awareness and promote a sustainable lifestyle. Open to the public from 16 to 21 April during the Salone del Mobile, it is positioned as a point of reference for those who wish to actively contribute to a greener future, directly from the heart of the Biblioteca degli Alberi Milano (BAM), the green hub of Portanuova, first neighborhood in the world recognized for its double sustainability certification.
Electrolux's objective with the opening of this space is twofold: to raise public awareness of the importance of sustainability and to demonstrate how, through daily gestures and conscious choices within the home, it is possible to make a difference for the planet. Electrolux EcoLine Hub presents itself as a catalyst for change, inviting visitors to explore innovative solutions for more environmentally friendly living.
The installation stands out for its captivating design: a large parallelepiped which, thanks to its mirrored walls, blends in with the surrounding context, attracting the attention and curiosity of passers-by. The interior of the Hub emulates the atmosphere of a home, reflecting the values and spirit of Electrolux through every detail. From Scandinavian design to the EcoLine series appliances, everything has been designed to offer an immersive and educational experience.
Divided into two main thematic areas, Taste and Care, the Hub presents a selected range of Electrolux products, highlighting their contribution to sustainability. In the Taste area, the appliances on display range from the 800 Steamboost steam oven to the 700 GreenZone fridge-freezer, all designed to improve energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact. The Care area, dedicated to clothing care, highlights the latest innovations in washing machines and dryers, including SensiCare+ technology which optimizes water and energy consumption based on load, and the microplastic filter.
Electrolux EcoLine Hub is also committed to spreading the culture of sustainability through the use of AWorld, an application which, through gamification, helps to calculate and reduce one's carbon footprint. Furthermore, in collaboration with Erion WEEE, the consortium for the recycling of electronic waste, the Hub hosts a collection point for small WEEE and screens “Materia Viva”, a docufilm that explores the issues of the circular economy and recycling, with the aim of inspiring daily actions in favor of the environment.
