A while ago an official site was revealed for the 20th anniversary of full metal alchemist, where the existence of a new live action movie of this anime was hinted at. Okay, It was recently confirmed that not just one adaptation will hit theaters in Japan this year, but two films in total.
The first of these is Hagane no Renkinjutsushi: Kanketsu-hen – Fukushūsha Scar (Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter – The Avenger Scar) and opens on May 20. His story will follow the fight between Edward and the villainous Scar. then we will have Hagane no Renkinjutsushi: Kanketsu-hen – Saigo no Rensei (Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter – The Last Transmutation) the 24th of Junewhich will show the final battle of the story.
These tapes will count with much of the repertoire of actors that we saw in the live action movie of 2017. With Ryōsuke Yamada as Edward Elric, Atomu Mizuishi as Alphonse Elric, Tsubasa Honda as Winry Rockbell, and Dean Fujioka as Roy Mustang.
Considering that East type of productions always stay in Japan, do not expect to see a western release of these two tapes. Let’s just hope that the work being done doesn’t disappoint the fans, and this is a worthy way to celebrate the 20th anniversary of full metal alchemist.
