According to him, the FSB allocated an additional reserve in the amount of 188 servicemen and the required amount of equipment. The Azerbaijani side has been informed about this, Bortnikov said.
The head of the department added that the necessary issues from the point of view of interaction have been established through the special services of Armenia and Azerbaijan, and information is being exchanged. “Moreover, we are in a round-the-clock exchange of information,” he said.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that for Moscow the settlement of the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh is important from the point of view of internal security and economy.
On November 9, Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan adopted a joint ceasefire statement. According to the document, the warring parties remain in their positions, until December 1, Aghdam, Gazakh, Kelbajar and Lachin regions are transferred under the control of Azerbaijan. Russian peacekeepers will be stationed along the line of contact and the Lachin corridor connecting Nagorno-Karabakh with Armenia.
