In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the FSB accused 14-year-old schoolchildren from the city of Kansk of creating a terrorist community for chatting with correspondence and plans to jokingly “blow up” the FSB building in the computer game Minecraft. This is reported by the Baza edition in its Telegram-channel.
In the summer of 2020, a criminal case was opened against 14-year-old ninth-graders under Article 205.3 of the Criminal Code (“Undergoing training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities”). At the moment, according to Baza, she was re-qualified to a more serious one – 205.4 CC (“Organization of a terrorist community and participation in it”).
According to the newspaper, the teenagers corresponded on VKontakte, where they discussed the ideas of anarchism. In the summer of 2020, they pasted leaflets on the FSB building in support of MSU graduate student Azat Miftakhov, who was detained in February 2019 on suspicion of making explosives after unknown assailants broke a window in the United Russia office in the Moscow region at the end of January 2018 (in Ultimately, he was charged with only part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code (“Hooliganism by a group of persons by prior agreement”), at the moment he is in a pre-trial detention center).
The next day, after posting the leaflets, the schoolchildren were detained along with their three friends. The employees of the department talked to them and took away their phones, after which they were released. However, later the operatives allegedly got access to the contents of their phones and “read a lot of unpleasant words about themselves,” and also learned about plans to “blow up” the FSB building built in the computer game Minecraft.
Three students were summoned for interrogation. According to Baza, two of them pleaded guilty, as they were pressured, threatened, but at the same time promised that “everything will be fine” (the interests of the children were protected and advised by a state lawyer), and they were placed under house arrest. The third, who refused to admit his guilt, was sent to a pre-trial detention center. Parents of teenagers believe that law enforcement agencies are trying to fabricate the case, and are confident that they pleaded guilty at the request of the investigation.
According to the FSB, schoolchildren have been preparing for terrorist activities since October 2019 by studying banned extremist literature and watching films about the manufacture of explosives, as well as practicing skills in abandoned buildings and wastelands.
In August, another schoolgirl from the Krasnoyarsk Territory was placed in a psychiatric dispensary at the request of the FSB. The security forces came to the girl in the morning, seized a laptop and diaries, and tore the posters off the walls. According to the lawyer, the reason was the girl’s subscription to the groups about the shootings on VKontakte. Later it became known that nine more minors were placed in the hospital due to correspondence and groups in social networks, who were allegedly “preparing for active actions.” On September 8, the girl left the hospital, she spent two weeks there.
