An Airbus 330 with a wingspan of 60 meters, the F18 and F5 fighters or the famous Eagle Patrol will fly again today over the capital to commemorate the day of the national holiday in a year in which this event recovers the number of participants from years ago . There are about 4,000 soldiers, 150 vehicles, about 200 horses and 84 aircraft. The air parade, in fact, hadn’t been this crowded in a few years.
With our eyes on the sky, there is a novelty that stands out: the premiere at this event of the Pilatus, the Swiss-made two-seater planes that make up the 792 squadron and make up the Basic Flight School, where cadets from the General Academy of San Javier receive their instruction in the fourth course. With a speed never exceeding 685 km/h, these are the aircraft that will replace the C-101 of the Eagle Patrol in training tasks.
After the arrival of the King and Queen at 11:00 a.m., the raising of the flag, prior to the jump of the two components of the Air and Space Army’s Acrobatic Parachuting Patrol (PAPEA), and the tribute to the fallen, will begin the air parade and the aircraft will begin to ascend along the Paseo de la Castellana.
