Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said that Russia carried out strikes on the Ukrainian military infrastructure, on Saturday evening and Sunday morning.
He added that Kalibr cruise missiles were fired from the waters of the Black Sea at the Negin factory, which repairs Ukrainian armored vehicles damaged during the fighting.
Konashenkov added that Russia launched “Caliber” cruise missiles from the Caspian Sea, and “Kinzhal” missiles, which mean the dagger, and hypersonic missiles.
He pointed out that those missiles were launched from the airspace of Crimea with the aim of destroying a fuel storage facility used by the Ukrainian army.
Russia annexed Crimea from Ukraine in 2014, amid widespread Western condemnation.
In the same vein, Russian forces bombed a military readiness center where foreign fighters who joined the forces of Ukraine are stationed.
Since the start of Russian military operations, more than 3 million people have fled Ukraine, amid fears of a broader confrontation between Russia and the United States, the world’s two largest nuclear powers.
