PSDB LAUNCHES DATENA AND ABANDONS TABATA
Presenter José Luiz Datena (PSDB) launched his candidacy for mayor of the capital of São Paulo on June 13th. The movement took place despite negotiations to join the Tabata Amaral (PSB) as vice.
Even with criticism, the toucan denies having “betrayed” the former ally, and said that the candidacy was the decision of her party’s chiefs. Tabata said on different occasions that an agreement between the acronyms was broken. In an interview with Power360, called the failed alliance as “a shame”.
TABATA RAISES THE TONE AGAINST MARÇAL
On August 23, the PSB candidate launched a series of videos in which she accuses Pablo Marcal (PRTB) to have links with the PCC. The congresswoman mentioned names such as influencer and bodybuilder Renato Cariani, PRTB president Leonardo Avalanche and Colombian drug dealer Pablo Escobar, linked to the former coach.
In other videos, he mentions Marçal’s convictions for bank fraud and questioned the origin of his fortune. It also criticizes the strategy of the Guilherme Boulos (Psol) and Ricardo Nunes (MDB). “We don’t make a deal with criminals or hearts”, he said in the advertising pieces.
ANTHEM IN NEUTRAL LANGUAGE
During a Guilherme Boulos campaign rally in the south zone of São Paulo on August 27, an interpreter changed the words of the National Anthem and sang “You are a gentle mother from the children of this soil.” instead of “of the children of this soil”.
The moment was the target of criticism from opponents of the psolist campaign and the president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), who was on the stage. Boulos’ team said they did not agree to the change and that it would be the responsibility of a contracted production company.
Boulos said the change to the anthem was “one absurd” and that he will no longer work with the production company in question.
ADVISOR TO MARÇAL SOCA MARQUETEIRO DE NUNES
Pablo Marçal’s advisor, Nahuel Medina, gave a punch on the face of Duda Lima, marketer for Ricardo Nunes’ campaign, during the Flow Podcasts debate, on September 23rd.
Images showed Medina reaching Lima moments after Marçal was expelled from the debate for breaking the rules. The publicist had a cut on his face and was left bloody after the attack.
Subsequently, Nunes’ campaign registered a police report against Medina, who said he had acted in self defense after Duda Lima forcibly took Marçal’s ally’s cell phone away.
DATENA GIVES A CHAIR TO MARÇAL
The PSDB candidate, José Luiz Datena, threw a seat against Pablo Marçal during the debate on TV Cultura, on September 15th. The former coach had questioned the presenter about an accusation of sexual harassment.
The debate was interrupted and people invaded the stage. Behind the scenes, images showed that Datena tried to give Marçal a second chair, but was restrained by Ricardo Nunes.
The event continued after the toucan was expelled and Marçal was taken to the hospital by ambulance. He had trauma to his chest and wrist.”without major complications”. He registered a police report against Datena and asked for a indemnity R$100,000 for the assault.
