The Abruzzese took part in the 2016 Moto3 World Championship and still competes on a motorcycle today, while he graduated in Economics. He broke the popular Rai quiz with a record win
From the paddock shared with Valentino Rossi And Marc Marquez to the record win in the quiz game The legacy. This is the story of Lorenzo Petrarca, born in Abruzzo in Sant’Omero, in the province of Teramo, on July 24, 1997. For two evenings he has been the champion in the television program hosted by Flavio Insinna, reaching a win of 210,000 euros in tokens gold. A record for the 2021/22 edition and a great satisfaction for the rider who six years ago experienced firsthand the strengths and difficulties of Moto3.
PASSION MOTORS
–
It was 2016 when Petrarca was competing entirely in his first and so far only season in the World Championship with Team Italy. A fourteenth place in Malaysia the best result in the league. That championship was the landing point after many years at high levels. First the minibikes, then the Civ and then the very first presence in Moto3, with the wild card to compete in Misano 2015. After 2016, Lorenzo returned to the national championships where he achieved good results. Last season he was third in the 600 class of the Pirelli Cup.
NEW LIFE
–
In addition to engines, however, Petrarch has developed other passions. This is demonstrated by the course of study with a degree in Economics. He is currently a student at the Master of Law and Economics. From Thursday 10 February he is the champion of L’Eredità, beating the competition. On the first attempt, the final test ended in failure. The next day, however, Lorenzo did not fail, guessing every option in the “Guillotine” game and guessing the final word. The € 210,000 already makes him one of the highest winning contestants in the history of the program.
