ContourGlobal, an Italian manager in charge of renewables
From February 2nd, Antonio Cammisecra is the new CEO of ContourGlobal, a company controlled by KKR active in the development and management of electricity production plants with 6.2 GW installed in 10 countries around the world. With an international career at Enel Group Spanning over two decades, Antonio has contributed to the expansion of Enel Green Power into a renewable energy giant and accelerated the decarbonization of an 84 GW managed power generation fleet in 20 countries. He also led the Enel Grids sector between 2020 and 2023, overseeing a portfolio of over 2.2 million km of power distribution lines in eight countries.
By joining ContourGlobal, Antonio brings with him solid experience in navigating the structural challenges of the energy transition: from the innovation of renewable energy to its diffusion and mainstreaming, from the transformation of sustainability in the energy sector to the management of resilience and climate adaptation of infrastructure , as well as leveraging internal talent and external ecosystems to accelerate industrial and financial innovations. Antonio will be responsible for leading ContourGlobal's investment strategy towards decarbonizing the company's footprint and platform growth in sustainable technologies critical to the energy sector transition. He succeeds CEO Joseph C. Brandt, who leaves the company after seventeen years of leadership.
