Continue the commitment of Apple to bring more and more successful games to its platforms thanks to tools that make the creation of specific conversions quicker and quicker. In particular at WWCC 2024 it revealed the arrival of 14 more games on Macincluding Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Palworld, Resident Evil 2 Remake and Frostpunk 2.
This is also thanks to Game Porting Toolkit 2, an even more evolved and advanced version of the tool made available to developers to create Mac, iPhone and iPad versions of games available on Windows PCs. Also, new upcoming games will support MetalFX Upscalingproprietary technology comparable to NVIDIA’s DLSS and AMD’s FSR, which guarantees a dramatic increase in game performance without sacrificing visual quality.
Games coming to Mac confirmed by Apple
Below we have reported the list of games arriving on Mac confirmed by Apple. It is not clear whether all or just some will also land on iPhone and iPad, considering the arrival of Game Mode on these devices with the next operating systems. Furthermore, no precise release times have been provided, other than Resident Evil 7 (July 2 on Mac, iPhone and iPad), Assassin’s Creed Shadows (November 12, 2024) and World of Warcraft (by the end of 2024).
