Last night Aka7even performed on the stage of Battiti Live: the Neapolitan singer wanted to remember on this occasion Michele Merlo, also a former student of Amici, who died at 28 due to fulminant leukemia. The two were linked by a deep friendship, and Aka7even wanted to make him an emotional dedication.
On the stage of Battiti Live last night there was also an opportunity for a very touching moment. One of the singers called to perform on stage, in fact, was Aka7even, a former student of Amici 20, from where he launched his catchphrase for this summer 2021: “Loca”. The boy wanted to express a thought for Michele Merlo, the singer, a former student of Amici 16, who passed away on 6 June following a fulminant leukemia.
Aka7even and Michele Merlo, in fact, were linked by a deep friendship and the former student of Amici 20 had confessed that their desire would be to write a piece together in the future. “I’ll write a song for him,” Aka7even revealed shortly after his disappearance. For this reason, even last night, Aka made a special dedication to his missing friend.

After being presented by the conductors of Battiti Live, Elisabetta Gregoraci and Alan Palmieri, Aka7even in fact performed in his single “I miss you”, written within the Amici 20 school. At the end of his performance, Aka7even said: ” I dedicate this piece to a boy who unfortunately no longer exists, and it is Michele Merlo ”.
Even after the evening, on Twitter, Aka7even reiterated the dedication: “I miss you goes to you, Miky. I promised you that ”. The singer, in fact, confessed that Michele Merlo had a weakness for that song, and had revealed to him that he would have liked to have had the inspiration to write it: this is where this particular dedication comes from.
Even Michele Merlo’s mother greatly appreciated the gesture made by Aka7even and thanked him publicly: “Aka7even grazieeee”. A small gesture, in memory of Michele, which also meant a lot for his parents.
