Omar Bin Laden, son of Al Qaeda founder Osama Bin Laden, was deported from France, according to an announcement by the new Interior Minister, Bruno Retailleau, this Tuesday (8).
The French government representative said Omar left France last year and is now permanently banned from entering the country due to last year’s social media posts linked to the terrorist’s son containing messages “glorifying terrorism.”
“French law prohibits presenting or commenting favorably on terrorism in general or terrorist acts that have already been committed,” said the minister.
According to information from the newspaper Le Publicateur Librean account on Center in New York City, United States.
At the time the investigations began, Osama Bin Laden’s son stated that the charges against him were based on “false information.”
Omar left France last year, after being ordered to leave, despite authorization from his British wife to remain in the country. The document was then revoked and he was initially banned from returning for two years.
Last week, a French court rejected the investigator’s appeal against the departure order. With the court decision, the Minister of the Interior announced an “administrative entry ban” that “guarantees that Mr. Bin Laden cannot return to France for any reason.”
