The SME Accelerator Office (OAP), attached to the Regional Federation of Metal Entrepreneurs of Murcia (Fremm) and open to all companies and freelancers, advocates taking advantage of collaborative robotics due to its ability to combine technology, effort and ingenuity human. In a face-to-face and online conference, Borja Coronado Poggio, director of CFZ Cobots, explained that collaborative robotics allows connecting human ingenuity with the most advanced technology to achieve more efficient manufacturing while empowering the workforce.
«Production series are getting shorter, so intelligent manufacturing makes special sense, where the most repetitive part is carried out by a robot; while, at the same time, the human, sharing physical space, performs tasks such as giving the final touch or supervising part of the process”, explained the automation expert.
For Borja Coronado, collaborative robotics contributes to responding to the lack of professionals, the flexibility or versatility necessary in the different production lines or space problems. Worker and robot can safely share the same space because “it is preceded by an independent certification and a risk assessment study that guarantee it”.
