UFC star Conor McGregor was arrested in West Dublin, Ireland on Tuesday. The reason was endangering traffic safety, he says Irish Independent.
The 33-year-old Irish freestyle wrestler had been driving a Bentley Continental GT worth around € 170,000 after he had caught the attention of police.
McGregor was arrested for road traffic offenses. He has been charged with endangering road safety and released on bail.
The case will be heard in April in Blanchardstown District Court.
In 2017, McGregor was fined 400 euros in the same court for speeding.
On charges may be punishable by a fine of up to EUR 5 000, six months’ imprisonment or both.
The freestyle luxury car was confiscated but has since been returned, according to the magazine.
A McGregor spokesman told the Irish Independent that McGregor had been driving to the gym when he was stopped. According to the spokesman, McGregor passed tests at the station to test that he had not driven under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
