“Thanks to the collaboration with Mater Dei General Hospital and Civil Protection Arvalia, on 22 April at the Olympic Stadium, before Roma-Bologna, a series of free cardiological screenings will be offered to Giallorossi fans – by reservation – free of charge”. As Roma underlines this in a note. The initiative is part of the Health & Well Being policy of the UEFA Sustainability Strategy 2030, which the Club is inspired by. “Fans who book online will be able to carry out a cardiological examination with electrocardiogram and blood pressure measurement with the specialists of Mater Dei General Hospital. The area will be active near the Toyota Fan Village from 3.30pm to 6pm and the service is reserved for fans and to fans over 45”, specifies the club. Anyone who is unable to make a reservation will still be able to go to the site and obtain information on how to book visits and exams at favorable conditions.
“Cardiovascular diseases still represent the main cause of death in our country. According to ISTAT 2021 data, these diseases represented 30.8% of all deaths (27.7% men and 33.7% women). An effective prevention campaign can therefore contribute to reducing the mortality rate”, recalls As Roma. “We thank Mater Dei General Hospital and its specialists for their continued support of our most loyal fans. Their expertise and generosity have a significant impact in making these critically important initiatives possible,” commented Michael Wandell, chief commercial and brand officer of As Roma.
Alberto De Angelis, commercial director of Mater Dei General Hospital, declared: “We are happy to be able to once again be alongside As Roma in an initiative for the cardiological prevention of fans. Because even when we talk about health we need to get down to the come together to do great things.”
