Fred, a sweet cat who had lost his inseparable friend Arthur, a seven-year-old Golden Retriever, seemed to have lost all hope. Arthur’s death, due to cancer, had left Fred in a state of profound sadness. He slept a lot and didn’t want to anymore play. His family, desperate for the loss and seeing the suffering of the cat, decided to get a new puppy, Sunny.
A ray of sunshine in Fred’s life
The arrival of Sunny, another Golden retriever, brought a breath of joy into the lives of Fred and his family. Sunny was a real ray of sunshine which lit up the cat’s heart, bringing back the smile and the desire to play. Dayshun Stevens, the cat’s owner, emotionally explains how the two animals became inseparable in a very short time, demonstrating that love can overcome any barrier, even between different species.
The images of the two new friends playing together warm the heart, showing how strong the bond has been created between them. “Watching your cat fall in love with a new friend after losing her first companion is priceless,” says Dayshun.
