French President Macron announced new measures on Monday evening to deal with the delta variant of the corona virus. As of August, everyone who visits catering and shopping centers must have a vaccination certificate or a negative PCR test or antigen test that is not older than 72 hours. For teenagers only, that rule will not come into effect until August 30. 12 to 17-year-olds must wear a mask, but do not have to be tested every 48 hours, as was previously the plan. The country imposes restrictions on unvaccinated people in the hope that they will still get their shots. In passing, Macron gives Dutch tourists a headache.
