With the vaccine from the US manufacturer, according to the authorities, there is a slightly higher risk of heart muscle inflammation for young people. The age group should use other vaccines.
F.France’s highest health authority has advised people under the age of 30 against the corona vaccine from the manufacturer Moderna. There is a low but slightly higher risk of heart muscle inflammation with this vaccine in the age group than with the vaccine from Biontech / Pfizer, it said in one Authority recommendation from Monday evening. As far as possible, people between the ages of 12 and 29 should therefore not be vaccinated against the coronavirus with Moderna.
The corona vaccines from the manufacturers Astra-Zeneca and Johnson & Johnson are not recommended in France for people under 30 years of age anyway. The health authority cannot make political decisions. As a rule, however, the French government follows their recommendations.
In France, almost 75 percent of the population are fully vaccinated against the coronavirus. In the past few days, the number of infections has increased again slightly. Most recently, around 73 new infections per 100,000 people were reported nationwide within one week.
