France French presidential election is a month, Emmanuel Macron seems to be on his way to a clear election victory

The first round will take place on April 10th. According to the latest poll, 30 percent of French people support a seated president. For the second round, the right-wing Marine Le Pen would also survive.

French the setup for the presidential election in april is now officially clear when the list of candidates was announced by the french constitutional council on monday. It tells about this, among other things Le Figaro -magazine.

There are 12 successful candidates. In order to be eligible for the presidential election, France must have the support of at least 500 signatories from the country’s political leadership. Potential signatories include, for example, mayors.

Clearly the most popular candidate has always been the incumbent president, center-right Emmanuel Macronwhich, however, only announced last Thursday that it was seeking an extension.

Indeed, the French campaigning has so far been a form of shadow boxing that Macron’s rivals have fought against him without ever being present.

According to polls, Macron, 44, is known for an easy election victory. In the first round of voting, the president would get 30 percent of the vote, according to Opinionway’s latest poll.

Opinionwayn in the poll, the second most votes, 18 percent, would get the right-wing National Alliance Marine Le Pen. The survey was reported by Reuters news agency on Monday afternoon.

If no one receives more than 50% of the votes in the first round, the two candidates with the most votes will be eligible for the second round.

In the second round, Macron would beat Le Pen by the time he comes, polls show. According to Opinionway, Macron would get 59 percent of the vote.

The second round of the previous presidential election in 2017 had the same setup. That’s when Macron beat Le Pen by 66-34 percent.

Inquiries based on Marine Le Pen’s entry into the second round is uncertain. His hams are topped by a moderate right-wing Republican candidate Valérie Pécresse as well as the far right Éric Zemmour.

The French left seems to be permanently in the canvases. The Socialist candidate, the mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgon support creeps in a couple of percent.

The downturn in the Socialist Party has been steep, with France having two socialist presidents in the recent past, François Mitterrand (1981–1995) and François Hollande (2012–2017).
