The Emerging FET Theater Festival of Águilas will take place this year from August 26 to 29 and the public will be able to enjoy shows and workshops for all ages. It is organized by the TeyDe Theater School and the Culture and Celebrations Councils, and has the collaboration of local companies. On Thursday, August 26, at 10 pm, the Fan Fin Fon company presents ‘Mestre Fufo Circoncherto’, a circus show with a theatrical dramaturgy, performed from the clown and accompanied by live music. It will be a free and family show.
On Friday 27, at 10 pm, the Enkiku Theater Company will stage ‘ODYSSEY (minimum)’. Ulysses, after being victorious in the Trojan War, undertakes the journey back to Ithaca, his home. The return will take a little longer than expected: 10 years. It is a show for youth and adults and the entrance costs 7 euros.
On Saturday 28, at 10 pm, the Arrasa Company is scheduled, with ‘Converting imbecilities into a tragedy’. Luis Arrasa, winner of the award for best actor in the Region in the last Azahar awards, will take us on a journey that will not leave us indifferent. A show aimed at youth and adults (entry € 7). For Sunday 29, at 9.30 pm, will be staged ‘Do not touch my hands’, a classic Chinese shadow show premiered in 2005. Free for all audiences.
All the shows will be in the Antonio Cortijos square and have Covid-19 security measures, according to the organizers. Advance ticket sales for Friday and Saturday can be done at the Archaeological Museum of Águilas.
In addition, on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 a theater and musical improvisation workshop is offered with Raúl Beatmac (registrations at firstname.lastname@example.org, 50 euros, limited places and Covid-19 security measures).
