The countdown for Valentine has already begun: this Friday, February 14 is celebrated on Valentine’s Day. Although it is difficult to escape the multiple claims that announce their arrival one month in advance, many have caught again. To others, with little to scratch in the pockets or wanting to celebrate it but without intention of doing it. With a little creativity, plans can be prepared for Valentine’s Day even at the last minute. Here are four proposals.
Pícnic in a park

If you want to spend the Valentine’s Day outdoors, we propose that you prepare a Picnic. This plan is not only very cheap, you can also turn it into a very special day. The first thing is to choose where to organize your Picnic, it is possible that in your town or city there is a park or garden indicated for it, so you review the local regulations. If you have a car, you can go to a natural place where it is allowed to eat, but remember to collect what you consume.
Now it only remains to be determined what to take to your picnic. You can make it a success with the following:
- Picnic blanket: This essential will allow you to have an area where you can sit and eat peacefully. In general, these are blankets with the lower waterproof surface, so that you can place it on the ground without spoiling.
- Appetizer: We suggest that you prepare some homemade snacks. In the imagination is the limit, but we recommend some of olive, anchovy, chilli and cubes of your favorite cheese.
- What to eat in a Picnic: or not you have a good hand with the kitchen, you can wear delicious and easy to transport food. We suggest that you prepare some miniature sandwiches. To do this you only need to leave a barkless mold with two perpendicular cuts, forming four sections. With cutting bread, you can mount your miniature sandwiches with whatever you want. We recommend that you take advantage of their small size to prepare them with different flavors, such as cheese scrambled eggs; tuna, mayonnaise and chopped cucumber; or chicken with yogurt sauce and red onion. If you carry foods that need cooling, remember to wear a portable fridge.
- Dessert: Remember to make sure it’s easy to transport. You can wear a peeled and cut fruit in a taper. If you want something different, the sandwich can, again, offer you a solution. Buy the thickest barkless mold of the supermarket or else a loaf of brioche bread that you can cut to your liking. Mounts cream of dessert with an electrical rod or a manual and a little morning. Then, mount these snacks with bread, cream and, optional, fruit in fine sheets.
Make a special playlist
One way to have a beautiful detail with your partner or that special person on February 14 is to create a reproduction list in Spotify with the songs that have marked your relationship and that will form a time trip. You can also introduce some recent topic that you have discovered with which to surprise your partner and with which to continue creating a soundtrack.
Go to a karaoke (or modal it at home)

It is easy for the mythical scene of the Sofia Coppola film to come to mind Lost in translation When we think of a karaoke: in it we see how the characters of Bob (Bill Murray) and Charlotte (Scarlett Johannson) dressed in a pink wig they have fun with some Japanese strangers performing old microphone rock songs in hand in front of the screen. For a while, they manage to escape the alienation and melancholy in which both are immersed during their trip to Tokyo and that is what ends up approaching and feeling less alone.
Singing in a karaoke is an entertaining and different way to enjoy Valentine’s Day with your partner, even if you don’t sing well -it will be even more fun. You can also form a homemade karoke without much difficulty: you can connect your computer to the TV and search on youtube romantic themes (or not so much) subtitled with which to give the song while the remote control acts as a microphone.
Hot water baths
Another idea to enjoy this day is to immerse yourself in one of the free access spas or waters that we have for the Spanish geography. Hot water house well with relaxation, fun and a more special couple. Here are some of them:
- To Chavasqueira in Orense: they are also known as Baños do Bispo. These free hot springs reach a temperature of 63 degrees and are in the right margin of the Miño River, in the urban center of the Galician city of Orense. They are two stone pools located outdoors surrounded by a Zen garden.
- Arnedillo pools in La Rioja: they are found on the margins of the Cidacos river and they are also known as ‘the bathrooms of the poor’. They are usually at a temperature between 35 and 52 degrees.
- Alhama Termas in Granada: They are in the Sierra Tejeda in Granada. Alhama means in Arabic ‘hot waters’. The waters of these springs are maintained throughout the year at 47 degrees
- Fontcalda in Tarragona: it is close to the Mola Sierras and Crestall. These thermal waters form natural pools and pools at the end of the Gasquetas River, in the Catalan town of Gandesa. Its waters emanate from the earth to 25 degrees and has a Pícnic area.
- The Zújar baths in Granada: They are between Mount Jabalcón and the Negratín reservoir and in them the temperature is between 22 and reaches 40 degrees.
