At least four mountaineers have died over the weekend in several accidents recorded while hiking in the Alps, as reported by Italian authorities.
The accidents, which took place in the regions of Veneto, Trento and Piedmont, in the north of the country, have resulted in three men and one woman dead. They all fell off the cliff.
In Rocciamelone, a man fell into the void and fell from about 400 meters high. Rescue teams later managed to recover his body after a complicated operation, according to information collected by the Rai News television network.
For his part, a 26-year-old young man – who died in Trento – died after losing balance and falling from a height of 30 meters inside a ravine. In Veneto, two other people died for the same reason.
