Playground Games has announced the new update of Forza Horizon 5titled “Back to 90s” and characterized, as the name suggests, by the theme of the 90s, taken up both by new cars arriving than from events organized for these days.
Long-term support therefore continues for Forza Horizon 5, which since its launch in 2021 has continued to expand and enrich itself, remaining alive as a true automotive-themed live service always equipped with a notable active community within it.
Strangely, despite being in October, the main theme of the new update is not Halloween but the 90s, with a rather counter-trend choice although there will probably still be some references to the famous holiday closer to the end of the month.
New cars and new events
Back to the 90s will make us relive the decade of the end of the last century starting from October 10thlaunch date of the update in question, with the arrival of four new cars and various special events.
The prize cars chosen from the 90s are the following:
- Aston Martin Lagonda (1990)
- Subaru SVX (1998)
- Toyota Soarer 2.5 GT-T (1996)

The recently added Hide and Seek game mode in Forza Horizon 5 will also get five new custom objectives. The Back to 90s update will also bring Horizon Backstage on Forza Horizon 5, a well-known feature from previous chapters and very popular among car collectors, as it offers players the opportunity to obtain prize cars that were locked in previous Festival Playlists on a weekly basis.
Six cars will initially be available through Horizon Backstage, after which the community will vote on one of two pairs of cars to include each week.
