DSOGaming reported some technical tests performed with Forspokenexplaining that with a Nvidia RTX 4090 it is not possible to run the Square Enix game at a fixed 60 FPS with native 4K resolution and maximum graphics settings, even with Ray Tracing disabled.
Precisely, the newspaper explains that through the benchmark function it is discovered that the minimum frame rate is 69 FPS in Forspoken at 4K / Maximum graphics quality and without Ray Tracing, but in reality this performance is not really that of the game. As soon as you start exploring the main open area, Junoon, it drops to around 50 FPS, if you turn on Ray Tracing it drops down to around 40 FPS. They are not incredible results.
It is specified that these are not dramatic problems and above all that they can be solved with the use of DLSS 2 or FSR 2.0. Leveraging DLSS2 quality version, DSOGaming was able to reach a minimum of 74 FPS during the first encounter with Forspoken enemies.
The set used by DSOGaming includes: AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D, 32GB of 6000MHz DDR5 RAM, the aforementioned Nvidia RTX 4090, 64-bit Windows 10 with GeForce 531.26, and a Samsung 980 Pro 1TB M.2 NVMe PCI SSD Express 4.0. Dynamic resolution was eliminated during testing, so as to prioritize quality and see what impact it had on performance.
Tell us, have you played Forspoken on PC? Was the performance for your gaming machine adequate? We also remind you that patch 1.11 is available, it solves a big crash problem on PC.
