DS Automobiles marks its decade in FIA Formula E with very high ambitions, two very strong drivers and a car that will try to bring to France the title up for grabs from the World Championship dedicated to fully electric single-seaters.
DS presented this morning the DS E-Tense FE25, the single-seater with which it will race in the 11th season of FIA Formula E. The team has been present in the series since the second year and this season will be able to field two world champions of the series, namely Jean -Eric Vergne and Maximilian Guenther.
The single-seater will make its debut in the tests at the Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, scheduled for 4 to 7 November, i.e. the pre-season tests. The big news is a completely new powertrain made by DS Performance over the last 2 years.
The new 350 kW powertrain consists of an inverter, gearbox and motor, and will be more efficient than its predecessor and, say the French engineers, also easier to drive.

Eugenio Franzetti, director of DS Performance, said: “For DS Automobiles this season has an even more important meaning than a title. First of all, let’s start our tenth season of Formula E! Since 2015, our brand has racked up 121 races, four championship titles, 16 victories, 51 podiums and 24 pole positions – an exceptional achievement.”
“Furthermore, we now present a car with a new design and a new powertrain developed by DS Performance. Today I am particularly proud of the enormous work carried out by our engineers and mechanics over the last two years. DS ETENSE FE25 will be a great asset for us to bring DS PENSKE towards great successes”.
The declared objective of the French-American team will be to maintain the excellent performances seen in qualifying last season (record number of front rows in Season 10), while improving the race pace, consequently achieving better results in the race and achieving the greatest number of podiums possible.
