The second race of the weekend also bears the signature of Andrea Kimi Antonelli. The PREMA driver, as seen in Race 1, was the absolute ruler of the race, leaving nothing to his opponents.
A few moments of tension were experienced at the start, when Kacper Sztuka, who started very well from third position, immediately overtook Rafael Camara to then try to undermine the Mercedes nursery driver, but Kimi, despite a slight touch in the rear, resisted without problems to the attacks of the standard bearer of US Racing.
Sztuka then began a long duel with Camara which allowed Antonelli to take off and excessively penalized the Brazilian from the FDA. In fact, in the duel with the Pole, Camara was forced to retire after suffering a puncture.
The chaos of the first laps allowed Taylor Barnard to move up to second position. The PHM Racing driver took advantage of the confusion to play a linear race in which he never had the chance to keep up with Antonelli.
The Bolognese, in fact, despite having led a smooth race, was unstoppable for everyone, once again showing all his talent behind the wheel of the PREMA team car.
The Venetian team, despite having lost Camara due to a puncture, managed to bring two cars to the podium thanks to the third place obtained by Charlie Wurz who thus partially remedied the disappointment of what happened in Race 1.
The fight for the positions at the foot of the podium was very intense, with the drivers of the US Racing team as protagonists. To soar, and resist the constant pressure of a Sztuka today in a state of grace, was Alex Dunne who thus confirmed himself as one of the most beautiful realities of this season, while behind the Pole a Marcus Amand closed in sixth place. he never seemed able to worry his two teammates.
However, James Wharton gave Conrad Laursen some headaches. The Australian driver was good at putting pressure on his teammate in the final stages and then passing him and thus obtaining seventh place.
The top 10 of Race 2 was completed with Nikita Bedrin and Martinius Stenshorne respectively in ninth and tenth position.
Race 3 of the Italian Formula 4 will start at 14:00 and can be followed in live streaming on the pages of Motorsport.com.
