Formula 1 | Zhou Guanyu, who survived a rough crash in the British GP, got a driving license for Austria

The Formula One World Series continues this weekend in Austria.

Alfa Romeo Chinese driver Zhou Guanyu received a competition license for the Austrian Formula 1 race on Thursday. Zhou, who is in his rookie season, is Valtteri Bottas stable mate.

Zhou scared motorsport fans on Sunday with his violent crash at British Silverstone.

His car turned upside down in the first corner of the race, and the car that ran off the track got stuck between the track embankment and the fence. However, the driver was fine, as the car’s halo safety arc saved his life.

When the car went out of control, Zhou said he quickly took his hands off the wheel to avoid breaking his wrists from the impact. In addition, he tried to sit as safely as possible in his seat.

The F1 World Series continues this weekend in Austria. On Thursday, Zhou was tested by the medical staff of the series and received a driving license. The race weekend starts on Friday with practice.
