International The automobile federation FIA will make a decision on Friday on the formula for the number one world champion candidates Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton situation last Sunday in Brazilian gp. F1 said on its website on Thursday.

Hamilton’s team Mercedes complained about the situation in Brazil’s gp, where it said Verstappen wedged and forced Hamilton wide in the fourth corner of the 48th round as Hamilton tried to overtake. Verstappen was not penalized for the situation in the race.

FIA heard the views of the stables on Thursday at the Qatar gp track in Losail. However, the decision on whether Verstappen should be punished will be delayed until Friday. Possible penalties include a time penalty for the Brazilian results or a starting screen penalty for the Qatar race.

Hamilton won in Brazil, Verstappen was second before Mercedes Valtteri Bottasta. The difference was only three seconds, so a five-second time penalty, for example, would raise Bottas second.

In World Championship points, Verstappen’s lead to Hamilton is 14 points with three races left.
