Formula 1 | F1 champion Max Verstappen signed a long and moneyy follow-up contract

Verstappen will continue at Red Bull until at least the end of 2028.

Formula one reigning world champion Max Verstappen stays in the familiar Red Bull stable for a long time. The stable said on Thursday that the Dutchman Verstappen has signed an extension agreement that will last until the end of 2028.

Verstappen, 24, started at Red Bull in 2016. His previous contract would have covered the upcoming season and next season. Motorsport according to the seven-year stretch is the longest in F1 history.

“The follow-up agreement was an easy decision. I have enjoyed being on the team, ”Verstappen commented.

The stable did not disclose the value of the contract, but media figures put it at £ 40-50m a year. In euros, the amount is 48-60 million

“The follow-up agreement with Max shows that we are planning our long-term future,” comments the team boss Christian Horner.

The opening race for the F1 season will run in Bahrain on March 20th.
