Former acting Prime Minister of Ukraine and ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, Yefim Zvyagilskiy, has died due to complications caused by COVID-19. This is reported by the edition “Strana.ua”…
The incumbent politician died in intensive care from the coronavirus at the age of 88. “This is one of the most famous politicians from Donetsk. Long-term director of the Zasyadko mine, mayor of Donetsk, acting Prime Minister of Ukraine in 1993-1994, People’s Deputy of many convocations of the Verkhovna Rada, ”the newspaper said.
Zvyagilsky was born in 1933. He was a deputy of the Rada from the first to the eighth convocations. He held the position of acting prime minister from 1993-1994. Prior to that, he worked as the director of the Kuibyshevskaya mine administration, and from 1979 to 1992 – the director of the AF Zasyadko Mine.
On August 5, 2021, former Prime Minister of Ukraine Yevhen Marchuk died of cardiac arrest. From 1991 to 1994 he served as the head of the Security Service of Ukraine, and from 1995 to 1996 – the head of the government.
