It is clarified that smog from the burning forests has already covered the city. The mayor’s office has set up a camp on the city border in which volunteers will help fight the approaching fire.
“The task is to prevent the movement of fire in the direction of Yakutsk. We are 45 people … 5 pieces of equipment are working, radios, generators, food have been delivered, “- said the head of the city Yevgeny Grigoriev in his Instagram, noting that an additional 10 people were involved in the extinguishing.
Earlier it was reported that the smoke from the fires in Yakutia reached the Chelyabinsk region. The townspeople began to complain about the haze and the smell of burning. The regional ecology ministry assured that no significant excess of the maximum permissible concentration of harmful substances in the atmosphere was found.
