Cloudy, light snow, sleet in places and up to six degrees below zero – this is the weather that awaits the Moscow region on Thursday, December 8. The corresponding forecast was published on the website of the Russian hydrometeorological center.
Daytime temperatures in Moscow will range from -5 to -3 degrees. At night, the thermometers will drop to -6.
In the Moscow region, it is expected from -7 to -2 degrees during the daytime and up to 8 degrees below zero at night.
A southerly wind is forecasted at a speed of 5–11 m/s.
Atmospheric pressure will be 752 mm Hg.
Earlier, on December 7, the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, Roman Vilfand, predicted cloudy weather and light snow for Muscovites on December 8. According to him, by the weekend the precipitation will become more intense.
On the eve of Vilfand said that heavy snow is expected in Moscow this weekend.
Also, weather forecaster, environmentalist, climatologist Alexander Shuvalov said in a conversation with Izvestia on December 5 that warming and an increase in snow cover are expected in Moscow this week.
On December 5, a leading employee of the Phobos weather center, Evgeny Tishkovets, predicted about 40% of the monthly snowfall in Moscow on Friday, December 9.
