The coldest night since early autumn is expected in Central Russia on Monday night. This was announced by the leading employee of the Phobos weather center Yevgeny Tishkovets.
“Caution, ice! The coldest night awaits Central Russia! <...> On Monday night in Central Russia and the Black Earth Region, the minimum thermometer readings will go into the blue, slightly negative temperature range. As a result of frosts and rainfall on the eve of the day, there will be so much on the roads and sidewalks – ice will form, ”he wrote on his Instagram account.
Earlier, on October 21, it was reported that Friday night in Moscow will become a record warm for October 22 over the past 73 years. According to Tishkovets, the air temperature should have been 11 degrees.
Prior to that, on October 20, he announced that in Moscow by the morning of Thursday, October 21, up to 8-9 mm of precipitation would fall. The forecaster warned that it was windy in the capital, as well as snow, sleet and rain.
On Wednesday evening, traffic jams of nine were formed on the roads of Moscow. The city’s Department of Transport and Road Transport Infrastructure linked them to the evening rush hour and the first snow that fell in the city.
