According to SJK’s website, the club understands their player’s decision, supports the decision and agreed to the transfer.

“This is a really significant thing for me. I have always wanted to end my career as a football player in my home country of Ukraine. Especially now in this difficult situation that my country is in now, it is important for me to leave now – to show my countrymen that I am not afraid. I want to show support and example and help as much as possible,” Oliinyk said.

SJK has started the season slowly and is ninth.

Oliinyk, who turned 35 in June, has played in ten league matches this season and scored two goals. During five seasons, he has accumulated 94 league matches, in which the attacker has scored 23 goals.

“Making the decision was of course really difficult for both me and the club, because during the four years I’ve been at SJK, I’ve always been satisfied. I got support from everyone. The club did everything they could to make sure things were going well for me here. Whenever I needed help, the club helped me.”

According to Oliinyk, his children and mother are still staying in Seinäjoki.
