Petteri Forsell signed a one-year extension agreement with FC Inter.
Football One of the brightest stars in the Veikkausliiga Petteri Forsell continue his career in the domestic fields. Forsell’s club last season FC Inter informed on Monday signed a one-year overtime contract with the attacking midfielder.
Forsell, 31, who played 12 A-games in Huuhkaji during his career, joined the Turku club in the middle of last season. In his 11 league games, he scored three goals and made six assists.
In the Veikkausliiga, Forsell has also previously played for HJK, IFK Mariehamn and VPS.
Forsell surveyed a place from abroad in the winter – but not obsessively. The reason for this was a new member coming to the family soon.
“I put too much price on a few. I no longer have such a compelling need to go abroad, it has been there for many years. There are pros and cons to playing abroad, ”he said in a statement from the club.
“The baby will be born in a couple of weeks. That was the reason I didn’t drop my price abroad. I would already be in Poland if it weren’t for that. ”
During his career, Forsell has represented three different teams in the Polish Extra Class. He has also played abroad in Turkey and Sweden.
The Turku team new Spanish coach Miguel Grau did not hesitate in praising Forsell’s abilities. Forsell was already playing with Inter in the League Cup, when he was still a test player.
“I’ve seen a lot of videos of his games, but he got to enjoy his playing much more live,” Grau glowed in the club’s press release.
“He’s a player who plays a big role in when a team wants to break into an opponent’s penalty area. I think we now have a team together that can play with the ball near that area. ”
Forsell said he had good discussions with the coach.
“We’re also able to communicate in Spanish, it makes it even better to get out,” he said.
