Football Tromsø IL, who will play in Norway’s main series, will take a strong stance on the difficult human rights situation in Qatar, which will host the World Cup finals next year.

On Monday, the Tromsø club unveiled the triple uniform of its representative team, which has been designed in cooperation with the human rights organization Amnesty International.

“We hoped that [kansainvälinen jalkapalloliitto] Fifa and Qatar would listen to us one last time, but apparently money still bypasses human rights and life, ”the club website is written.

Scanning the qr code on the shirt takes you to the scanner’s website, which provides more information on human rights as well as so-called sports laundering. The way dictatorships use sport to eradicate human rights problems is called sports laundering.

“We hope to spark more discussion in this way. We want to see more action, ”the ex-player who introduced the shirt Tom Høgli said the news agency Reuters.

Tromsø IL reminds you that the most valuable asset is not the money you earn but how you treat other people.

“The scariest thing is that you know you treat people badly. Why else would you spend money to show the most beautiful side of the terrible things you do, ”the club says.

Tromsø IL will wear their third place for the first time next Sunday, December 12, when they will face Viking FK in the final match before the winter break.

Viking from Stavanger is third in the Norwegian main series. Tromsø’s ranking in the 16-team series is 12th.
