Football brazilian star Neymar was banned from playing two matches due to the events of the match between PSG and Marseille on Sunday.
The French league announced it was investigating Neymar and Marseille Alvaro Gonzalezin any racist comments made in the incident.
Neymar was driven out of the field after he had whipped Gonzalez into the back of his head and claimed the Spaniard had called him a monkey. Gonzalez denied the allegation.
“We knowthat there was an exchange of words. But right now, there is not enough certainty to show the players, ”the chairman of the disciplinary board Sebastien Deneux said.
According to Deneux, video footage of the situation is being investigated and efforts are being made to find out what has been said and what has been heard. The chairman added that the Disciplinary Board would take decisions only on the basis of objective and concrete factors.
Anyway, there was room for investigation when the match that ended in Marseille’s 1-0 win fell out of the hands of the jury. A total of five players were driven off the field with a red card.
League imposed a six-match ban on PSG defender Layvin Kurzawalle and a three-match ban in Marseille Jordan Amaville as a result of the duel incident.
PSG: n Leandro Paredes received a two-match ban on his skin Dario Benedetton with. Benedetto also got a red card and a flute for a match in Marseille on Thursday.
Neymar’s teammate Angel di Marian will be discussed at a meeting of the Disciplinary Board on 23 September. He is suspected of spitting towards Gonzalez.
Di Maria was allowed to play late Wednesday night when PSG defeated the German player Julian Draxlerin with extra time Metz 1–0. Neymar was on the sidelines because of his red card.
