Football Manchester City and Tottenham celebrate home victories

City did not give Everton mercy and rose to second place in the Premier League.

Manchester City was a rude host for Everton in the English Premier League and won 3-0. In the evening match, Tottenham rose from a goal-scoring position to a 2-1 home win against Leeds.

The victory elevated Liverpool to second place in the league standings. At the top is Chelsea, with City missing three points.

City clearly dominated their home game against winged Everton and took the lead at the end of the opening half when Raheem Sterling directed Joao Cancelon a handsome outer edge of the center with his foot inside. The sequel followed in the 55th minute Rodrin with a stunning long shot. Bernardo Silva finished the match after 86 minutes.

City was missing Kevin De Bruyne and Jack Grealish, but it did not slow down the strong progress of the Manchester people. De Bruynen kept the coronavirus infection and Grealish’s injury out of the fight.

Everton’s course is down as the team has collected just two draw points from their last six league matches. Everton is ranked 11th in the standings.

Leeds played a decent opening half and kept the home team Tottenham scores low. The guests took the lead at the end of the opening half. The hit was born when Jack Harrison rose strongly and baited to the finish where Daniel James directed the ball into the net wigs.

Tottenham entered the game for Leeds as the match clock showed 60 minutes.

In the fast-paced second half, Tottenham got the ball twice in the goal frames before Pierre-Emile Højbjerg shot in the 58th minute. The winning hit was seen a good ten minutes later when Eric Dierin the free kick went through the rebound to the pole and Sergio Reguilon put the loose ball in the goal.

The Leeds struggle was Antonio Contelle second league game as Tottenham head coach. After the closing whistle, Conte aired the victory with anger and emotion. Conte’s league contract began in Tottenham with a draw against Everton.

Tottenham rose to seventh on the standings. Two points behind are Manchester United, who fired head coach on Sunday Be Gunnar Solskjær. The situation in Leeds is precarious, with the team in 17th place.
