Football Leipzig, who collapsed in the lower middle caste in the Bundesliga, gave starting passes to head coach Jesse Marsch

American Jesse Marsch’s term at RB Leipzig was only seven months long.

German Bundesliga club RB Leipzig and head coach Jesse Marsch have terminated their contracts.

Leipzig said in a statement that the decision was the result of in-depth analysis and discussions since the previous Bundesliga match.

Jesse Marsch, 48, of the United States, was immediately relieved of his duties as assistant coach Achim Beierlorzer take charge of the team before the upcoming Champions League match against Manchester City.

“Jesse Marsch’s successor will be announced in the near future,” Leipzig announced.

Leipzig finished second in the Bundesliga last season and third in the two previous periods.

Marsch was appointed last April Julian Nagelsmannin to succeed.

RB Leipzig was eleventh in the league after Saturday’s games. In Marsch’s coaching, Leipzig won just five matches out of fourteen league matches this season.
