Helsinki The soccer club beat Honga 2–1 in the final match of the women’s Finnish Cup. Striker Sara Sievistö completed the winning goal for the pre-favorite HJK in the 59th minute of the game.
Emmaliina Tulkki took HJK into the lead in the opening minutes, but Wilma Sjöholm leveled the situation at half an hour.
HJK had missed out on silver in the Cup in the last two autumns. It had won its previous Cup championship in 2019.
HJK is also on its way to the National League championship, as it leads the league by eight points over KuPS.
