Helmarit, who is preparing for the European Championship, will play his last training match against Holland.
Finland the women’s national football team did not get the desired result in the preparatory match for the European Championship in Turku, when Japan knocked out Helmari on Monday with goals 5–1.
Although Japan is among the top 15 in the world list, Finland’s defense should not allow four goals in the second half. If you look at the last five years, Helmarit has had to give up five times only in dealing with France and Spain, who are at the absolute top, and that too on the away field.

The last lock of the defense, the goalkeeper Tinja-Riikka Korpelan even big losses belong to football.
“It’s never nice to lose, but in the finals it doesn’t matter how many goals you concede,” Korpela reminded at the Finnish Football Association’s press conference.
On Saturday, Finland will play a training match against Holland, and for Korpela it will be the 107th time in the national team jersey. The 36-year-old striker is going to his third European Championship and second as captain, so he knows that worrying won’t help.
“A defeat is a defeat, but luckily it didn’t matter in terms of results yet. However, the overall mood of the team is on the rise.”
On Saturday is the Helmareit’s last chance to prepare, when Finland meets the Netherlands away from home in the EC general. The home team will certainly not make the game easy, as they are ranked fourth in the world.
The head coach Anna Signeulin in my opinion, Japan was and Holland is exactly the kind of opposition that Helmarit needs.
“Both are strong in attacking from inside the penalty area, so we get another chance for that. The mistakes in the Japan game were small details that we have fixed,” said Signeul.
According to him, Holland’s game resembles the future group opponent Germany.
“Good short passing game and quick attacks. In addition, they cultivate a lot of early concentrations.”
The EC tournament in England starts on July 6. Along with Germany, Denmark and Spain will play in Finland’s group, against whom the Helmarii have the opening match of the tournament on July 8.
