What caused the fight between fans in Sao Paulo?
Military Police spokesmen affirmed that two private cars, occupied by Sao Paulo fans, ambushed a bus with Corinthians fans and attacked it.
“The Military Police was called in the early hours of this Wednesday (23), on Avenida Presidente Vargas, Itapevi region, to attend to a fight between fans. Death. Those involved in the confusion were taken to the Itapevi police station and the report is being prepared,” says the report, quoted by Globoesporte.
After the ambush, Corinthians fans got off the bus, armed with sticks, and a fight broke out that left one person dead.

There is already a history of fights between fans of Sao Paulo and Corinthians
It is not the first time that the fans of Corinthians and Sao Paulo have crossed paths. There was already a clash in March of this year, at a train station, hours after those teams met at the Morumbí stadium. That fight left five detainees, who were released a few hours later.

Around the same time, a confrontation between fans of Atlético Mineiro and Cruzeiro left one dead from gunshot wounds.
